Happy New Year!

Some photos belong to my favorites, for they are connected to books and writers, that always had a special meaning for me since I read them first. Among them is Mark Twain, who wrote the most encouraging words I know:

»Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.«

For years, these words are part of my growing pocketbook collection. I always had a serious crush on writing; making notes of all the stories I literally spoken stumble upon while traveling, being on the road, working. 2014 has been a year of challenges, of serious reflection and changes – in terms of photography, work and personal aspects.

Time to leave 2014 behind: With gratitude for so many encounters and conversations with the kind and interesting people I met. With happiness about so many shared inspirations, thoughts, insights. I feel very blessed, for these are the important aspects of life for me.

I look ahead and forward to 2015 – it will be a most interesting year between photography, writing, bilingual workshops, teaching and lectures. Stay tuned, there will be much to discover and explore!

Here’s wishing you all a splendid, sparkling, dazzling, healthy, happy and wealthy 2015.
