Inspiration, Abstraction, Reflection

As a photographer, I’m always fascinated of light and its changes; I could spend hours and hours of just watching. Besides the observation of natural light in landscapes, situations or portraits it is also very inspiring for me to study paintings of all kinds and ages.

During a nocturnal ride on the Berlin tube, a sparkling reflection of light caught my attention. While capturing this blurry play of colors, I thought of a gorgeous exhibition at Berlin. This abstract photograph is a tribute to one of my favorite artists who belong to my essential inspirations as a photographer: Gerhard Richter, painter, born 9.2.1932 at Dresden.
